John is a Senior Registered Valuer and an Associate of the NZ Institute of Valuers, is a member of the Property Institute of NZ and owner of Davies Batley Valuations. John has had 40 years experience in the property industry, completing a Diploma of Urban Valuation at Auckland University in 1976 through a Cadetship with the Housing Corporation of NZ.
John has considerable experience in the industry and covers a full range of valuation services throughout the Auckland isthmus. John has a number of corporate and private clients with large property portfolios.

Michael Nimot
Registered Valuer - BBS Dip Mgmt. ANZIV. SPINZ.
Michael completed a Bachelor of Business Studies at Massey University and a Diploma in Management at Auckland University and has been registered since 1993; with ANZIV status being gained in 1997; SPINZ in 2000 and MRICS in 2014. Since moving to Auckland in 1990 Michael has worked for a CBD and urban Valuation practice; Valuation New Zealand (QV); a listed Retirement Village operator and more recently as a Director at Barker and Morse and Jones Lang LaSalle. The work undertaken includes freehold going concern valuations of aged care and childcare facilities; together with valuations of medical centres; commercial and industrial properties and also block land. Other work includes lifestyle block and residential property valuations; rental assessments and insurance work.

Melissa Batley
Graduate Valuer
Having recently completed a Masters of Property Practice at Auckland University, Melissa is now working as a property valuer and will be undertaking the registration process. She has always had an interest in property having worked for 10 years at architectural practices as an interior designer, previously completing a Bachelor of the Built Environment at Queensland University of Technology.
